Welcome to MyListsPal ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal data. MyListsPal is designed to be a privacy-first application, meaning you do not need an account to use the core app, and your personal organizational data stays on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile and desktop applications, as well as our website (https://mylistspal.vercel.app/).
The Short Version: Your lists, tasks, notes, and images are stored locally on your device. We do not read, upload, or sell your personal list data. We only collect basic, anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the app.
All content you create within MyListsPal—including lists, items, custom fields, tasks, images, ratings, and due dates—is stored entirely locally on your device using local databases (SQLite/Drift). This data is never transmitted to our servers.
To understand how the app is being used and to improve your experience, we collect highly anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics. This data is sent securely to our internal analytics scripts and includes:
This data cannot be used to identify you personally or read the actual contents of your lists.
If you choose to upgrade to a Pro or Premium tier, payments are processed securely by native app stores (Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Stripe for Desktop). We do not collect or store your credit card information.
To manage your subscription entitlements seamlessly across devices, we use a third-party service called Adapty. Adapty generates an anonymous User ID to verify your purchase status and unlock premium features within the app.
We use the following third-party services to power specific features of MyListsPal. These services have their own privacy policies:
We provide an optional App Lock feature to protect your data from unauthorized access on your physical device. If enabled, your App Lock password and security questions are encrypted and stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your password and cannot recover it for you if you lose it.
While we use commercially reasonable methods to protect your local data, you are ultimately responsible for the security of your physical device.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your list data only leaves your device if you explicitly choose to use the "Export JSON" or "Share List" features to send your data to another app or user.
Because your data is stored locally, you have complete control over it. You can permanently delete all your data at any time by:
Note: If you uninstall the app without exporting your data first, your lists and tasks cannot be recovered.
As noted on our website, we are actively developing features such as Cross-Platform Sync and AI Integration. When these features are released, they will be strictly opt-in. If you choose to use Cloud Sync, your data will be securely transmitted and stored on our servers. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes before those features are made available to you.
MyListsPal is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
